On arriving at Rose Cottage you will enter through the Garden Room - a great place to sit and do some 'armchair bird watching' - binoculars and books provided! Having kicked off your boots, you will appreciate the underfloor heating which runs through the ground floor of this cottage.
On in to the kitchen, which has stunning views making this room a pleasure to cook in! It has a gas hob, fan oven and microwave along with fridge, freezer and dishwasher. And for those who like to finish with a coffee, there is your very own built in espresso maker!
This light airy room is designed with an open plan aspect to create a spacious dining room. The original cast iron fireplace restored to present an interesting feature - the old oven a reminder of the way things used to be.
For those who like the kitchen to themselves while they are cooking there is a small flat screen TV and portable 'Roberts' radio to keep them company.
Upstairs your double bedroom provides a large, comfortable, double bed with a spacious en-suite bathroom incorporating a full size bath, loo, hand basin and towel rail.

Watch the little wren pop in and out of the dry stone wall or the siskins hanging upside down on the bird feeder! Or if you are lucky, you might spot our resident weasel running along the top of the wood store!
For those who stay up late - the night sky is a must. The big open spaces of the North York Moors are breathtaking by day but also by night when the dark sky panorama is revealed. Come and stay in February / March when the Dark Skies Festival is on ( see North York Moors website for details). We have a telescope, deck chairs, plenty of blankets and hot chocolate!
For those of you who are here to enjoy the great outdoors we provide secure storage for bikes.
There is a parking area and wood store at the end of the garden and further ample parking next to the cottage in the peaceful and quiet village of Westerdale.
